We are thrilled that Girls in Motion has been nominated for not 1 but 2 England squash awards this year!!

🎉 Sally has been shortlisted for Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year, recognising her incredible work creating welcoming opportunities for women and girls to get involved in squash.

👏 Mia has been nominated for Young Volunteer/Coach of the Year, celebrating her dedication, passion, and the huge positive impact she has made being one of our ambassadors.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports our mission — these nominations reflect the amazing spirit that drives everything we do 💜

🌟 Another incredible day for Girls in Motion! 🌟

Our latest junior event was a huge success — filled with energy, teamwork, and lots of smiles! The girls threw themselves into every challenge with enthusiasm and confidence, showing just how powerful sport can be in bringing people together 💪

From fun skill-based activities to friendly competition, the atmosphere was full of encouragement and positivity. One of the highlights was the amazing opportunity for the girls to play against — a truly inspiring experience that pushed their limits and gave them a taste of what’s possible ✨

We’re so proud of every single participant for giving it their all and supporting each other throughout the day. Here’s to more moments like these 💕

🚨Big news from Girls in Motion🚨

We’re so proud to be part of the Squash United Foundation’s Squash for Development network.
From day one, GIM has been about doing things differently — designing events around what women and girls tell us they want, and rethinking how squash can feel more welcoming, fun and inspiring.

Becoming a Squash for Development Organisation gives us the support, mentorship and global connections to take that even further:

- Creating new opportunities for women and girls to play on their terms
- Supporting more female coaches and leaders who reflect the players they coach
- Building communities where women and girls feel they truly belong

We’re inspired by the other amazing SDOs around the world and excited for what’s ahead. Together we can show how powerful squash can be when women’s voices lead the way 💜

Such an amazing turnout for our women’s festival 🙌🏻

We had 60 women partaking with female coaches and a special guest, former world No1, Laura Massaro 🩷

Off court also saw lots of action with the 305 Squash merchandise stall, drop shot photography and Julianne Courtice with Physio advice.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported and to all of our volunteers on the day 🙏🏻 It was such an incredible way to end Women’s Squash Week 🩷🩷🩷

This week we celebrate more than just women’s squash- we celebrate the power of women in sport 💪 Our women’s and girls sessions are filled with laughter, smiles and new friendships, supporting each other on and off the court and reminding people of why sport matters 🫶

Squash isn’t just about competition- it’s about confidence, community and creating opportunities for women and girls to get moving, have fun and feel empowered 💜

The more we shine a light on women’s sport, the stronger it grows. Here’s to celebrating and inspiring more women and girls to pick up a racket and join the movement 🙌🏻🎉

The Northern and Girls In Motion are pleased to announce a women’s and girls beginner and intermediate squash tournament on Sunday 19th October. The tournament aims to build on the movement across the North West to engage more women in the sport.
