Heroes and Sheroes Awarding Community Servants The ceremony is held annually on the last Saturday of February, which is World Black History Month.

"RECOGNISING THE UNSUNG HEROES & SHEROES IN OUR COMMUNITY"

The Heroes and Sheroes Awards was set up to recognise and acknowledge those who work in the local communities of Greater Manchester, and give their services free of charge to improve the lives of others in particular those from the African Caribbean Community. The ‘Heroes and Sheroes’ award ceremony is also a fundraising event in support

of Sickle Cell Care Manchester, its founders are dedicated to raising awareness to an illness that is continually misunderstood and overlooked, but yet affects so many lives across many continents.
