We promote community engagement through volunteering to raise money for hospices and other local charities. Your community needs your help.

JustHelping is a UK charity founded in 2012 with a vision to inspire and support people, businesses, charities and other organisations to contribute to their community. We organise fun community events that provide a platform for volunteering and fundraising for local charities. JustHelping is developing a network of volunteer teams across the UK. JustHelping is governed by the Trustees who volunt

eer their time to help direct the work of the charity. The charity employs a full time Chief Executive, a small administrative team and volunteers who are a vital force behind our work throughout the year. Our vision is for a life where community is at the heart of our society. A life where people pull together to take care of the vulnerable and less fortunate, together with their environment, in their towns and villages. A life where 'contribution' means so much more than just paying taxes. About JustHelping

JustHelping is a registered charity, established in 2012 with a mission is to bring individuals together to contribute and support their local and wider community.

As media, technology and the pace of life distract us, there is a shift away from our communities – we stop seeing what is right in front of our eyes and don’t recognise that it is our neighbours and the people close to us who need support.

The JustHelping team comprises the Trustees, a Chief Executive and a small, productive team of staff including volunteers who all contribute to the management of the charity. The charity is guaranteed through philanthropic support until it becomes self-sustaining.

Our main fundraising event is the Christmas tree collection which raises money for hospices and local charities through voluntary donations received when someone registers their real Christmas tree for collection. Our ambition is to create a national Christmas tree collection.

The Christmas tree collection is a fun event organised in partnership with community groups, hospices, businesses and individuals. It involves collecting unwanted real Christmas trees in early January from homes and businesses and taking them to appropriate recycling centres or disposing of them in an environmentally friendly way.

The trees can be shredded and the chippings used for mulch, for creating garden paths or the entire tree can be ‘planted’ to help protect the sand dunes and sea defences or build up hedgerows creating habitats for small mammals and birds.

The JustHelping website allows members of the public to register their Christmas tree for collection and make a voluntary donation. We manage the donations, Gift Aid and provide the collection route planning and mapping through our website enabling the volunteers to collect the Christmas trees as efficiently as possible.

We partner with hospices, volunteers, community groups and businesses to set up and run Christmas tree collections. We are very proud of the rapid growth and development of the collections and the positive benefits it brings to communities. The collections provide an ideal opportunity for businesses, community groups and associations to work together and participate in a fun event and help those in need by raising money for local charities.
