This week we're celebrating the amazing women who volunteer with Stockport Women's Centre.

Our reception area is currently filled with inspirational quotes about volunteering and each one is a lovely reminder of the impact that volunteers have on organisations and communities every day. They perfectly capture the spirit of generosity, compassion and connection that our volunteers bring to the Centre.

Whether they're offering a listening ear, sharing their skills or helping us behind the scenes, our volunteers make a huge difference to the women who access our services. Their time, dedication and kindness help us create a safe, welcoming space where women can feel supported and empowered.

To every one of our volunteers, thank you for everything you do. We appreciate you not just this week, but every week.

✨ Happy Volunteers' Week! ✨

🌷 Nature walk!

Some of our staff, volunteers and women who use the centre have been out this morning on a mindfulness nature walk.

Part of our International Womens Day celebrations, it was a chance to observe signs of Spring, get to know one another better and boost our moods with gentle exercise and sunshine.

We've been able to expand our IWD celebration this year thanks to funding as part of the Festival happening around Greater Manchester.

Like the wider agenda, women's centres are supporting women every day to improve and manage their mental health, build self confidence and skills and re-enter education and employment.

Our Art & Craft group have been showing off their talents once more and last week it was all about showing themselves some love!💜

Together they created these gorgeous and colourful wooden hearts as well as little tealight holders. It's so important to take time out and do something for ourselves. Our Art & Craft group is always so well attended and we were definitely all feeling the love last week.
