Our celebrations for Manchester Youth Pride have wrapped but LGBTQ+ people exist 365 days a year, so ahead of Bi Visibility Day on 23rd September our team have made a FREE assembly resource that folks can use to mark the event! Bisexual young people visibility in the curriculum, so download our free resource to use in an assembly, tutor time, or with an LGBTQ+ club this month.

“Every young person deserves to grow up knowing they are valued exactly as they are”

We’re incredibly grateful to actor, writer and presenter Sir Stephen Fry for standing alongside LGBTQ+ young people as part of our campaign.

As Stephen says, organisations like The Proud Trust can provide hope, community and reassurance at a time when young people need it most, whether that means finding somewhere safe to talk, meeting people who understand or simply discovering that they are not alone.

That is what our teams work towards every day, and it is why we’re asking more people to stand alongside LGBTQ+ young people and help us ensure they have the support and opportunities they deserve.

Thirty voices, one message. LGBTQ+ young people .

We’re incredibly proud to share our new campaign film, bringing together 30 LGBTQ+ celebrities and high-profile allies from across film, television, music, comedy, literature and elite sport, who are standing with The Proud Trust and alongside LGBTQ+ young people.

At a time when nearly half of LGBTQ+ pupils experience bullying because of who they are, almost six in ten have seriously considered su***de and referrals to The Proud Trust have increased by 171%, that message matters.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Happy Pride Month!! It’s time to be proud!

This Pride month, social media will be full of companies changing their icon to a rainbow and shop shelves will be groaning with the weight of rainbow t-shirts. The good ones will even be donating to LGBTQ+ charities.

But too many LGBTQ+ young people still don’t feel like Pride is for them.
Whether that’s because of unsupportive parents at home, anti-LGBTQ+ bullying at school or hateful headlines, some young people simply don’t feel safe coming out.

That’s where you come in.

This we want to raise £45,000 so that LGBTQ+ young people can continue to have free access to specialist youth work and support services. Our aim is to fund a minimum of 1,500 hours of support, enabling LGBTQ+ young people to thrive and achieve their full potential, because we believe all LGBTQ+ young people deserve to live happy, fulfilling lives.
