The Beacon Centre

The Beacon Centre The Beacon Centre is a vibrant community hub run by local people, for local people. We have a varied program of services and activities.

Volunteering opportunities and Room Hire available. Email: [email protected] to enquire. The Beacon Centre CIO is a small, independent charity (UK Registered Charity Number: 1181149) formed by local people, whose headquarters are on Barrington Street in Clayton. The building, formerly known as the Barrington Street Community Centre, had been closed for several years, and had fallen into disrepair. The Beacon Centre trustees obtained a lease and raised grant funding for the repair and renovation of the premises, with substantial contributions from The National Lottery Community Fund and Sport England. Following consultation with our community, our doors opened on 27th May 2022, and our program of services and activities is steadily evolving to fulfill the needs and wishes of local people.
