Feeling incredibly honoured and grateful to have been invited to the Brian Boru Club today, the oldest Irish club in the UK, right here in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.

It was such a special opportunity to meet and speak with Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Taoiseach Micheál Martin, and to tell them about our project
St Brigid’s Arm: Voices of Women of Irish Heritage in the North of England.

We also had the chance to talk to Sonja Hyland, Ambassdor for Ireland in Great Britain, about our exhibition, which is launching in just two weeks at the Victorian Gallery & Museum, Liverpool.

We also had time to connect with Consulate General of Ireland, Manchester and with many other Irish friends and organisations Hannah Donelon

Coming very soon! 💚 After 2 years of sharing love, passion, laughter, tears, and creativity with many beautiful women of Irish heritage the St Brigid's Arms will be opening her doors from Saturday 3rd October!

Come see us at the in Liverpool and explore all the stories, art, music, and performances we are so proud to share with you.

We’ve been a bit quiet on here recently. Both Lydia O'Hara & Rosarie Walsh have been taking a well deserved & needed summer holiday but the St. Brigid’s Arms exhibition hasn’t been far from our minds. We are still squirrelling away in the background. What better place to read through the 12 oral histories we’ve recorded of women of Irish heritage than in Kerry, Ireland. Another momentous occasion - on Thursday Ben & Gemma from Victoria Gallery & Museum Liverpool in Liverpool came to Stretford Public Hall Manchester to collect work produced by our women of Irish heritage to store until we do the get in for The St Brigid’s arms exhibition opening in October 👏👏👏💚 thanks Mark - one of the many amazing volunteers at the hall who helped us lift and carry all the art work in the sweltering heat. Exhibition Prep is well underway. Spent a number of hours with bex Stretford Public Hall on Sunday photographing all the last bits of art work created for the St Brigid’s Arms … so exciting seeing it all come together.
