We’ve been a bit quiet on here recently. Both Lydia O'Hara & Rosarie Walsh have been taking a well deserved & needed summer holiday but the St. Brigid’s Arms exhibition hasn’t been far from our minds. We are still squirrelling away in the background. What better place to read through the 12 oral histories we’ve recorded of women of Irish heritage than in Kerry, Ireland. Another momentous occasion - on Thursday Ben & Gemma from Victoria Gallery & Museum Liverpool in Liverpool came to Stretford Public Hall Manchester to collect work produced by our women of Irish heritage to store until we do the get in for The St Brigid’s arms exhibition opening in October 👏👏👏💚 thanks Mark - one of the many amazing volunteers at the hall who helped us lift and carry all the art work in the sweltering heat. Exhibition Prep is well underway. Spent a number of hours with bex Stretford Public Hall on Sunday photographing all the last bits of art work created for the St Brigid’s Arms … so exciting seeing it all come together.

The workshops may have finished but the work hasn't yet for St Brigid's Arms. Today Lydia and Rosarie were tinkering away adding the final touches to some collaborative pieces 👌🏻

Well we can't believe it but that is a wrap on our St Brigid's Arms workshops! Our final group in Leeds has been as creative and talented as our other 5 groups across the North of England! We have really enjoyed the calm atmosphere of our tile painting sessions and are looking forwards to sharing our creations with you!

Come along to HEART, Headingley, Leeds this Saturday 4th July 2-4pm for a cuppa, some cake and to see what we've been up to! Free booking is not essential but helpful, link in our bio.

Our St Brigid's Arms group in Leeds did a wonderful jobs of collaging eclectic materials into the first pages of our zine. Over the course of our sessions we have recognised there are a number of concepts and references that might not be clear to everyone so we are making a handy glossary for our exhibition in October.

Week 3 already…. How the time flies! We had such a lovely session today with our last cohort of Women of Irish Heritage in Leeds thanks to splodgeblossom illustration

This is turning out to be a very artistic and connected group. We expressed ourselves today using an orange colour pallet. We also chatted about all the places in the world we’ve been and want to continue travelling to.
