Tomorrow is Schizophrenia awareness day, the day focuses on dismantling harmful stereotypes and raising vital funds and awareness for the approximately 1 in 100 people who live with the complex mental health condition.
The day works to dispel harmful myths—such as the incorrect belief that the condition means having a "split personality" or that it implies violence. it is an illness not an identity.

Right at the heart of Healthwatch Manchester is the need to speak up for vulnerable people in health and care. Here is our report reviewing Manchester GP practices’ compliance with the Accessible Information Standard.

Through the review and follow-up assistance by our amazing team, 40% of our GP Practice have improved compliance so far and the process continues.

We're next aiming to roll this out across our hospitals and full-time care providers.
