This week (1st - 7th June) is Volunteers Week
Here at St John’s in the Community would like to say a few thank you’s.

First to the amazing volunteers here at St John’s who give their time and energy to multiple projects that serve the local community, to our amazing Experience Events Team.

Then to the following people who commit their time and energy to various groups
So thank to leaders of 6th Worsley scouting family - you do a fabulous job with our young people.

To our Rainbow leader and her team - who do a wonderful job our youngsters.

To leaders of Karate, FPAC Singer, Stitch & Mix

To the Walkden in Bloom family who are an amazing support to events and projects hosted by St John’s in the Community.

To all the voluntary groups in Little Hulton and Walkden for the great work they are doing.

Without all the volunteers many projects would go undelivered.

So this week join us in thanking all the local volunteers ###

Following the launch of A.R.C - Art & Reflection church on Easter Saturday, the official sessions start this Saturday 2nd May at St John's the Baptist Church and Community Centre. PLEASE NOTE it will start later than originally advertised for those who wish to attend both the litter pick and ARC we will therefore start at 11.15. This week we are looking ahead to Ascension Day on Thursday 14th May. Crafts include making an ascending Jesus puppet, card, traffic light biscuit and also including songs, games and a time for reflection and prayer. If you planted a sunflower seed last time, please bring it with you to be measured. The sunflower that has risen the most will win a prize. All welcome, and there is a party bag for every child and a loyalty card that will be stamped every month you come to A.R.C. .. and as always, a chance to have a cuddle, dance and photo with Faith the Church Fox !
