We are a New Community Centre opening on 3rd July at Droylsden Community and Sports Centre Lewis Rd. We hope to offer local residents the chance to take part in our recreational activities,coffee morning, luncheon club and much more and create new friendships and talents they did not know they had. Our aim is to try and eradicate loneliness and isolation giving people the chance of somewhere to go
during the day rather than be on their own. Ian and I want to achieve a friendly and supportive community network within our centre where people will feel comfortable and at home knowing they can rely on us to help them make friends and develop a sense of belonging while developing new strengths and skills. Ian is a qualified Senior ABA Coach he has qualifications in Health and Social Care and has worked in the Care Sector for many years. Myself Christine Peers have had over 40yrs experience within the Care Sector I started as a carer then qualified as a Registered Nurse, worked in theatres at a Manchester hospital them moved into the community working in Nursing/ Residential homes. I have also Health and Social Care Qualifications including Level 5 Management of Vulnerable Adults and Children. We are both very much people persons and are very dedicated in what we believe in and give 110% in everything we do.
