Standing Together:
Ending Men’s Violence Against Women

This is more than a concert.
More than a performance.
It is a moment of unity—a time to stand in solidarity with women and girls who face injustice and inequality every day.

We will not just sing songs of social justice. We will not just slam inequality through spoken word. We will imagine a world where no individual or culture tolerates abuse or violence against women. We will stand together.

With live music from singer-songwriter Emma Mould, spoken word from wordsmith Matt Britton, and contributions from special guests, Press Red presents a night of collective voices raised to envision a future where justice prevails.

Your presence and your voice are needed.
Come stand with us—because we are better together.

On International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating four women, past and present, who became the change they wanted to see happen.

1. Tarana Burke launched the movement in 2006, famously saying, ‘…every human being has the right to walk through this life with their full humanity intact.'

2. Emmeline Pankhurst was a leading pioneer in the rallying cry for equality, penning the phrase: 'Women had always fought for men, and for their children. Now they were ready to fight for their own human rights.'

3. Claudia Jones was the founder of Notting Hill Carnival and pioneering journalist and political activist. She made no secret of her life-long message, 'no peace can be obtained if any women, especially those who are oppressed and impoverished, are left out of the conversation'.

4. Nadia Murad is an Iraqi Yazidi human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, who is an advocate for women in conflict settings and survivors of sexual violence. A survivor of a kidnapping herself, she says, “I want to be the last girl in the world with a story like mine. We must not only imagine a better future for women, children, and persecuted minorities; we must work consistently to make it happen—prioritising humanity, not war.”

Press Red believe women and girls must be at the centre of every decision to build safer, more equitable societies.

Gisele Pelicot broke the silence, waived her right to anonymity and has stood up for women worldwide as a beacon of hope for victims of abuse.

She is a hero. She is not alone.

If you’ve been a victim of abuse - you are not alone. There is help and support to break the silence today.

We are all in awe of her courage.

Pelicot, who waived her right to anonymity, says she never regretted making the trial public "so society could see what was happening".
