Cash for Kids Greater Manchester

Cash for Kids helps the children that need it most across Greater Manchester. In 2023 we raised £1.9million supporting 40,208 children.

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping disadvantaged children who need it most across Greater Manchester. We support those who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. Our grants to families, community organisations and local charities provide support to families who often have nowhere else to go. If you would like to get involved please send us a message.

✨ Meet the newest member of our Cash for Kids team... welcome, Lilly! 💜

Some of you may already recognise Lilly from Mission Christmas 2025, where she joined us as our Mission Christmas Warehouse Co-ordinator. During one of our busiest times of the year, Lilly was an absolute superstar – always ready to roll her sleeves up, get stuck in and take on every challenge that came her way. We're so excited that Lilly has officially joined the team and will be covering Leah's maternity leave over the next year.

And our favourite fun fact? 🎅 Lilly used to work as one of Santa's elves at the North Pole... so it's safe to say she's got plenty of experience spreading a little magic! ✨

"I'm so excited to be joining the team here in Manchester. Having worked on Mission Christmas last year, I'm thrilled to be back with this amazing charity and to have the opportunity to support its fantastic campaigns throughout the year.

🏃‍♀️🏆 OUR SPORTS CHALLENGE IS BACK! 🏆⚽🎾

Bigger. Better. More rewarding than ever. 🙌

We're excited to launch the Cash for Kids Sports Challenge 2026, giving sports clubs across Greater Manchester the chance to raise vital funds for their club while making a real difference for local children.

🏆 Top prizes are up for grabs:
🥇 1st Place - £5,000
🥈 2nd Place - £2,500
🥉 3rd Place - £1,500

✨ But that's not all...

Raise £2,000 or more and you'll receive:
💰 100% of the money you raise
➕ An extra £500 in funding from Cash for Kids

Whether you're a football club, rugby team, netball club, gymnastics club, dance school, martial arts club or any other community sports organisation, this is your chance to raise money for your club while helping local children and young people across Greater Manchester.

Leah had a great morning on Wednesday visiting the fantastic team at Clear Business to celebrate the amazing £400 they raised through our Football Fundraising challenge during the World Cup! 🙌💙⚽

The team got involved, embraced a bit of friendly competition and raised vital funds to help support local children and young people across Greater Manchester.

Every pound raised helps Cash for Kids provide grants that make a real difference to children living in poverty, with illness or additional needs.

We're looking for brave fundraisers to join Team Cash for Kids at Born Survivor on Saturday 12th September in the beautiful Ribble Valley, Lancashire!

🏃 Over 30 epic obstacles
💥 Designed by Royal Marine Commandos
💙 FREE charity place through Cash for Kids (usually £95+!)
🎯 Simply commit to raising a minimum of £200 to help support local children living in poverty.

You'll be joining fantastic teams from Cargo Overseas, Truline and Northgate, who have already signed up to take on the challenge!

These grants will provide basic everyday essentials, life changing equipment, experiences and opportunities that many disadvantaged young children across Greater Manchester would otherwise go without.

What an INCREDIBLE night! 🥳🎉

A huge thank you to Procurement for Housing, Wolseley Plumb Centre and City Electrical Factors for joining forces once again to host their amazing ‘Sky High Charity Bash’ at Cloud 23 as part of PfH Live 26.

We are absolutely OVER THE MOON to share that they raised a phenomenal £41,717.38 for Cash for Kids Greater Manchester! 🩷🙌

A massive thank you to everyone who organised, sponsored, donated and attended. Your incredible support will make a real difference to children and young people across our local communities. 💚

Our 2026 Sports Challenge is back and we are ready to help more sports clubs with our incredible challenge!

Registrations will open on 10th August and we only have a limited number of spcaes available!

100% of the money you raise will be granted back to you, PLUS:
🏅 1st place will receive a £5000 grant
🏅 2nd place will receive a £2500 grant
🏅 3rd place will receive a £1500 grant
🏅 Every club that raises more than £2000 and finishes outside of the top 3 will receive a £500 top up grant

Challenge complete! 🌍🎉🏃‍♂️

A huge congratulations to who has officially completed his incredible World Cup fundraising challenge in aid of Cash for Kids Greater Manchester! 💚

After leaving Manchester to travel the world in April 2025, Chris set himself the challenge of running 5K for every goal scored by the team he drew each day during the World Cup – and what a journey it's been!

His final achievements:
🌍 253km completed
📅 34 days of running
⏱️ 23 hours, 11 minutes and 41 seconds on the move
💪 Longest run: 30km
💚 £268 raised (and counting!)

Thank you, Chris, for going the extra mile (or 253 of them! 😉) and supporting local children and families across Greater Manchester, we are so proud of you!

Congratulations on an amazing achievement! 👏💚
