On Monday, Julie and Emma from Manchester Adult Education came with Emily and Georgie from the MCC Digital Inclusion team to help members of our age friendly group set up their donated tablets. Many thanks to everyone for their generous donations and support!

This group has really been enjoying using tech as part of the Gorton Together Heritage Lottery project, and these tablets can be used during future sessions so that people can develop their digital skills in an embedded way.

Thanks to Farm Urban and for the amazing session - we can't wait to see our mushrooms growing...

We had a brilliant time at Gorton Central last Friday for a mushroom growing workshop. It was so inspiring to see the community come together to get hands-on and dig into some new skills!

As of 1st May 2026, the new Renters' Rights Act comes into force, bringing major changes to private sector renting designed to make it fairer, safer, and more secure.

The new law includes an end to 'no-fault' evictions, ensures fairer limits on rent increases, stronger protections from discrimination, a move to rolling tenancies, and clearer rules at the start of a tenancy.
