It’s always a privelage to be able to visit the wonderful Midwifery team at North Manchester General Hospital and yesterday we delivered some of our comfort boxes for the bereavement room, on behalf of our little project The Little Comforts Trust.
These comfort boxes are designed to help parents who find themselves unexpectedly with a stay in hospital following pregnancy and baby loss, with a few home comforts of basic toiletries and self care items that they might not have with them, but will help them care for themselves at a time when it’s so difficult to focus.
We had a great catch up with the team, who have now become great friends of ours and we also had a few treats for the whole Labour Ward in honour of International Day of the Midwife ✨

Today is International Day Of The Midwife.

It takes a very special person to look after parents at both the happiest and sometimes the hardest time of their lives.
We’ve been very fortunate to meet some incredible midwives along our journey, particularly those in bereavement care.

We are very much in awe of all midwives and from all of us at The Little Comforts Trust we thank you for your continual hard work and support 🤍

Today can be a difficult day for so many of us, for many different reasons.
For those who have lost a child or children, today is a big reminder of what could have been, what we have lost, and brings a mixture of emotions that come along with it.
