The platform has published two stories featuring the C2IMPRESS project. In collaboration with Cenk Güreken, the first article titled “Community-centred approach to disaster management”, discusses the C2IMPRESS project in detail. highlighting the background, functionalities, and uniqueness of the project.

The second article, “Building a shared European commitment to disaster preparedness”, is focused on disseminating the result pack of 10 EU-funded projects that aim to build societal resilience and citizen engagement, with the shared goal of better anticipating, managing, and recovering from crises. The novel people-centred risk assessment frameworks of C2IMPRESS have been highlighted in the article.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂2𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠!

The C2IMPRESS consortium partners recently gathered in Brussels, Belgium, to attend the project’s final review meeting on the 5th of November, 2025. The lead of each of the work packages presented the updates in front of the reviewers of the project. The meeting also included presentations on the pilot case studies and a discussion of the project’s administrative and financial status.

Notably, this 36-month project reached its completion this November. The impactful connection within the consortium, unparalleled creativity, and shared trust and belief helped the project to achieve the desired goals. Sixteen partners from across Europe worked relentlessly to create an ecosystem where the disaster-induced risks can be mitigated with a multifaceted approach. The C2IMPRESS project has been piloted in 4 case study areas (Egaleo, Greece; Ordu, Türkiye; Centro Region, Portugal; & Balearic Islands, Spain) developed 2 unique tools, and aims to transform as a commercial entity beyond the project results.

- Dr Mohammad Azizur Rahman (Technovative Solutions Ltd (TVS), C2Impress Technical Manager) on building multi-hazard resilience with citizen engagement and decision-making platforms.

The event was moderated by Tamanna Khan, PhD, Chief Operating Officer (Technovative Solutions Ltd (TVS)) & Communications Manager, C2Impress.

This webinar marked an important step in closing activities for both projects, reinforcing how collaborative approaches can strengthen disaster preparedness, resilience, and governance across Europe.

The key partners of the C2IMPRESS project have presented 9 research papers at the 13th International Conference on Sustainable Development 2025 in Rome, Italy, on 11 September 2025. The event was hosted by the European Centre of Sustainable Development in collaboration with Canadian Institute of Technology from 10 to 11 September.

Our partners presented their papers in two separate sessions, which were moderated by Joan Estrany (Full Professor of Physical Geography, Department of Geography and INAGEA, University of the Balearic Islands) and Dr Feroz Farazi (Research Associate at the University of Cambridge).
