Can we all please normalising saying hello to a homeless human ?

Why do we often feel the need to overlook their presence? If they ask for change and you either don’t have any or prefer not to give, simply saying, “Hello, I’m sorry, I can’t help” is a kind response. Ignoring someone can leave them feeling invisible.

Let’s normalise saying “Hello”

Many times we get asked the same question, How do you know they are homeless?

I always reply with “Their hands”

But we don’t just help the homeless we help those in need! We take meals, clothing and essentials to people who need them!

Please share!

It may seem obvious, but over the past few weeks of hot weather, I have sadly seen many young lives lost while swimming in open water.

Please remember that even at the Olympics, lifeguards are present to assist, illustrating that even the most skilled swimmers could need help. I urge you to refrain from swimming in open waters where there are no lifeguards available. Regardless of your swimming abilities, water is one of the most powerful forces on the planet.

Bit of a long one… but we have been overwhelmed with the super support with the “van appeal” and many of you know that after working out the financial aspect of this, it just becomes too much with the BIK tax and all the extra costs (with avg MPG on a van being lower and the insurance I would be £7,000 worse off a year so we have decided to go for a bigger car…

Thank you all for your messages and phone calls to tell me that you want to still raise money towards a bigger car…

Even though I am extremely greatful this is my plan.

1) I will be selling my personal car and the whole amount I get will go towards a car
2) I will match any money raised towards a deposit. (Maximum of £2500 I am not Rockerfeller)
3) I will be taking out a finance plan personally for a new car as I do not feel right allowing people to raise money for a car that I will be using for personal life outside the charity.

My main priority with a car is it has to be safe for my daughter to be inside.

More points I will be looking at is

Boot size once seats are down

New enough to have warranty as every penny I have will be going towards the deposit.

I don’t care what brand I have had an Audi, BMW, Mercedes… my best car was a Kia…
