☀️🌸 A lovely little day trip in the sunshine today! We headed to B&Q to pick up some beautiful fresh flowers and strawberry plants for our garden. There were lots of smiles, plenty of teamwork, and everyone enjoyed spending time together choosing what to bring back. We can't wait to watch our garden bloom and our strawberries grow! 🍓🌼💚

We made the most of the beautiful sunshine today! ☀️🌱 The group spent the morning in the orchard watering our crops and harvesting fresh lettuce, ready to be used in this afternoon's culinary activity – a delicious comfort meatball bake! 🥬🍝

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the outdoors, working together, and taking pride in growing and preparing their own food. Another fantastic day of teamwork, learning, and fun! 😊

A big thank you to Balmore Vets for coming out to Jack’s Place to check over our lovely alpacas, Eric and Ernie. 🦙💚

We really appreciated the time taken to give them a good health check and to share helpful advice and information on how best to care for them going forward.

Our animals are such an important part of life at Jack’s Place, helping with confidence, wellbeing, learning, responsibility and animal care skills, so it’s really important to us that they are happy, healthy and well looked after.

A day full of hard work, teamwork, and plenty of fresh air in the orchard! 🌱💪

Today we got stuck in sorting out the shed, watering our growing potatoes, tackling the weeds in one of our raised beds, and adding fresh compost ready for our radishes, onions, and beetroots to be planted!

Everyone played their part, proving once again that many hands make light work. It's amazing to see what can be achieved when we work together as a team! 😊🌞

🥚🐔 Egg-cellent teamwork today!

We collected our freshly laid eggs, giving them a good clean and making sure they were all dated correctly before being put into egg boxes. We also spent the morning moving our growing chicks into the animal barn, giving them more space as they continue to develop and become accustomed to their new surroundings, and neighbours! 🐇🐢🐹

Another great day spent caring for our animals and working together!

We've been busy as a group today sowing seeds for beetroots, radishes and onions with the hope of getting our vegetable patch ready for the months ahead 🫜🧅 The weather still can't seem to make up its mind between sunshine and rain, but that never stops us from having fun and getting stuck in!

The competition was fierce during today's game of bingo, with plenty of laughs and a few lucky winners! 🎉 After all that excitement, we made sure our flowers and vegetables were well watered just in time for the sunshine this afternoon! With all the care and attention they're getting, we love to see our garden continue flourish! 🌷

A private morning session for one small group, where you can:

✨ help let the chickens out
✨ feed and water the hens
✨ collect eggs if available
✨ learn how our hens are cared for
✨ enjoy a hot drink or squash

💛 £25 for up to 3 people
➕ Additional guests £5 each
⏰ Approx. 45 minutes to 1 hour

A fun afternoon to look forward to 😊

With the rain drumming away outside, this morning’s entertainment became an indoor weigh-in for Hettie the rabbit, our two wriggly guinea pigs and Tom the tortoise. The scales had a few technical hiccups, but we got there in the end.

The final challenge was persuading Hettie back into her carrier—a task she wasn’t entirely convinced about but with perseverance and a bit of guidance all four were safely returned to their home for a well-earned rest. 🐰🐹🐹🐢🌧️
