🏖️ Our Final Roadshow XL of the Summer 💛🌊

What a way to finish! Our final Roadshow XL took us to Rest Bay Beach for an amazing day of swimming, rounders, football, exploring the rock pools and finding plenty of crabs. 🦀

And of course, in true CYP style, we stopped to share lunch together on the beach as one big community.

What we have loved most about Roadshow XL this summer is seeing young people from across our age ranges come together. New friendships have formed, older and younger members have supported each other, and young people have created their own sense of community and safety.

That peer support does not disappear when the trip ends. The connections young people build continue long after we close for the day.

🌊 Roadshow XL at Cliff Lakes 💛

Another brilliant Roadshow XL trip, this time to Cliff Lakes Water Park for a day on the water.

It was wonderful to see young people pushing themselves, trying things that scared them and encouraging each other to give things a go. There was plenty of fun in the water, time with friends, and a lot of laughter along the way.

But these trips are also about connection. Watching our little community come together, support each other and simply enjoy the summer together is exactly why Roadshow XL matters.

Trying something new. Facing a few fears. Building confidence. And having a brilliant time doing it. 💛

🎢 Roadshow XL at Drayton Manor 💛

What an amazing day we had with so many of our young people at Drayton Manor.

For some, it was their first ever theme park ride. For others, it was the first time they had travelled further than Worcester. But for everyone, it was a day to have fun, try something new and grow together as a community.

We had weekly regulars, new faces, and even young people returning to CYP after several years. Seeing everyone mix, look out for each other and share the experience together is exactly what Roadshow XL is about.

Our first Roadshow XL of the summer was a huge success. We took a fantastic group of young people to AirHop, where there was plenty of bouncing, laughter and fun.

Roadshow XL is all about giving young people the chance to try new experiences, build friendships, grow in confidence and make memories together over the summer holidays.

School’s nearly out… and we’ve got loads going on! 🙌

Whether you’re popping in for a free session, hanging out with friends, or joining us on one of our Summer Roadshow trips, we’d love to see you this summer.

💙 Financial support is available if needed – we don’t want cost to stop anyone from coming along.

Our regular drop-ins and youth sessions continue throughout the holidays and, just like always, they’re completely free and don’t need booking. Just turn up from 1 pm on the days shown in the calendar!

💚 Celebrating Our Partners at Colwall Orchard Group 🍏🌳

On Friday, Aron and Beth had the privilege of attending the presentation of the King’s Award for Voluntary Service to Colwall Orchard Group. This prestigious award recognises the extraordinary dedication of their volunteers and the incredible contribution they make to our community.

Aron was honoured to give a speech thanking COG for everything they do to support CYP. Together, we are sowing the seeds for the future, helping young people reconnect with nature, discover the value of our agricultural landscape, and understand how time outdoors can support emotional wellbeing.

Our partnership shows what is possible when community organisations work together. By sharing skills, knowledge and opportunities, we are inspiring the next generation to care for the environment and become active members of their community.

We are incredibly proud to call Colwall Orchard Group our partners and friends. Thank you for everything you do, and huge congratulations on such a well deserved honour. 💚

“Can we go somewhere different this year?”

It started with a simple idea from one of our young people.

Rather than stopping at the question, they researched beaches, wrote a proposal, and presented it to our trustees. The proposal was approved, and yesterday Lauren and Aron went to Rest Bay, Porthcawl, braving the wind and rain, to carry out the risk assessment, and start planning the trip.

This is what Youth in the Lead looks like. Young people shaping the activities, opportunities, and experiences they want to be part of, while we support them to turn ideas into reality.

Now we just need the weather to be a little kinder when we return this summer! 🌊☀️

💛 A Busy Couple of Weeks at CYP 💛

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks with plenty of art, games, food and laughter.

There have been a few birthday celebrations, lots of exam revision, plenty of music, and more than a few competitive games.

Most importantly, young people have continued to make CYP what it is, a place to catch up with friends, try new things, and be part of a community.

A lot has happened, and we wouldn’t have it any other way 💛

As part of Volunteers’ Week, we want to say a huge thank you to every single person who gives their time to support Colwall Youth Project. 💙

From our dedicated trustees who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the charity can continue to grow, to our youth group volunteers, event helpers, fundraisers, and everyone who lends a hand when needed, you are all an essential part of what we do. ⭐

We would also like to give a special mention to one of our incredible volunteers, Maggie. 🌟 Week in, week out, Maggie is there, giving her time, energy, kindness, and unwavering support to our young people and team. Volunteers like Maggie are the heartbeat of charities like ours, and without people like her, much of the work we do simply would not be possible.

Every session we run, every opportunity we create, and every young person we support is only possible because of the people who choose to give their time to others. 🙌

To all of our volunteers: thank you. Your commitment makes a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do. 💙
