🌿🌻🌱 Grass Cutting Update
Thank you to everyone who has continued to report areas that require attention. Your feedback has been invaluable in helping us identify locations that have been missed and ensuring they are addressed as quickly as possible.

We would also like to apologise that it has taken longer than anyone would have wanted to resolve some of these issues. As this is the first season with our new grounds maintenance contractor, the transition has brought some unavoidable teething problems, particularly in communicating which areas fall within the Parish Council's maintenance responsibilities. While these challenges have taken longer to work through than expected, the Council and the contractor have been working closely together to resolve them and improve the service.

We are confident that the majority of outstanding issues have now been addressed. However, if you notice an area that you believe has been missed, please continue to let the Parish Council know so that we can investigate and ensure it is included in future maintenance visits.

Thank you for your continued patience, understanding and support as we work with our contractor to deliver the high standard of maintenance our community expects

πŸ“‹ Village Survey UpdateπŸ“

Thank you for your patience while we prepared the printed copies of the Village Survey.

Unfortunately, due to an error, the first batch of surveys contained duplicated pages, meaning some households may have received a version with missing questions.

πŸ‘£πŸ To ensure everyone receives the correct survey as quickly as possible, Parish Councillors will be hand-delivering replacement copies to households over the next few days.

πŸ“ If you are completing a paper copy, please check that the back page contains Section 7, Question 14. If it doesn't, please use the replacement copy when it arrives.

If you'd prefer, you can complete the survey online instead. Full information and the online survey are available here:

https://www.middletoncheney.org.uk/survey

Your views are incredibly important and will help shape the Parish Council's priorities and future plans for Middleton Cheney.

We look forward to hearing your views, thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.
Thank you to those who alerted us early to the print error!

Feedback sought on previous consultation response

We’d like to invite residents to share their thoughts on the Parish Council’s response to the Draft Local Plan consultation.

The deadline for this consultation has passed, however the Council still wishes to receive your views ahead of further consultations.
It was acknowledged in comments made at the annual parish meeting that some felt the Parish Council could have been more proactive in encouraging residents to make their views known on West Northamptonshire Council's draft local plan.
For clarity, the consultation and details of how to respond were shared on the Parish Council’s website and social media channels, as well as through West Northamptonshire Council’s own platforms.

You can view the Parish Council’s full response here:

https://www.middletoncheney.org.uk/uploads/local-plan-mar-26-middleton-cheney-pc-comments.pdf?v=1774506076

Ahead of the Highways and Planning Committee meeting on Tuesday 7th April, we would really value any further feedback. Your comments will help us better understand where residents feel the response may not have fully reflected local views and additional remarks to put forward in the future.

Please share any additional remarks by email ([email protected]) or at the Councillor drop-in, or drop a note through to the office.

Thank you for taking the time to engage and to those who responded to WNC's consultation with WNC directly.
