Due to a change in date of a football match, Nikki And Lucia will now be undertaking the DARE Skywalk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this week Sunday June 21st at 11.30am in support of Alzheimers Dementia Support ('ADS' Charity). We are super proud of Nikki and Lucia and very grateful for their continued support of our charity. If you haven't yet but would like to support their DARE skywalk, you can still donate here:

“We are both very exited to do the Dare sky walk, it was difficult to follow up on our sky dive that we did last May for Lucia's 70th, this is Nikki's 70th birthday challenge. We both volunteer for this amazing local charity who have helped and supported our family and friends. Supporting ADS give us both so much pleasure."

Alison Hill is undertaking a Six Nations Challenge as part of her 60th birthday and doing this for her mum: " For over a decade she has courageously fought to keep her independence despite a diagnosis of Alzheimer's, sadly a fall in September of last year and the progression of this cruel disease, has meant that she is now confined to a wheelchair but her spirit and smile are ever present. With that in mind, I have decided to follow a Six Nations Adventure and raise money for 'ADS' "
We'd like to say a big thank you to Ali for her support and efforts. To support Alison with her challenge, visit https://www.justgiving.com/page/alison-hill-1

According to a Japanese study, actively engaging in hobbies and leisurely activities can help build cognitive reserves which allow people to deal better with age related changes to the brain. While there is no single hobby that is better than other single hobbies, if the hobbies are cognitively or physically challenging, or reduce stress and strengthen social connection, they can contribute to a reduced risk of developing Dementia.
