Taking part gives people the chance to contribute to the search for better treatments and help bring hope to the millions of families affected by Dementia. For far too long Dementia has been treated as something to be worried about in the later stages of life rather than a condition we aim to properly treat and ultimately cure.

Heavy rain sadly put a stop to our plans to visit Kew Gardens yesterday. Instead, we took our Pool noodles, New Age Kurling Kit along with our parachute game to Mencap in Langley. With great intentions of keeping warm and dry, we arrived at Mencap to find the boiler had failed! Mencap scurried around us with heaters and hot drinks. Nothing stopped us having great fun, in the dry, wearing coats! Thank you to all our volunteers who supported this day and a big Thank You to Mencap Langley who made us so welcome.

Huntswood Golf Club 's Ladies' Away Day at Oakland Park was a big success with the sun shining, good food and a cake in ‘ADS’ charity colours made by Huntswood chef, Lu. It was also a good day in terms of raising awareness. Everyone dressed up in red, yellow & blue; there was a best dressed prize and a complicated scoring system to show how simple changes can easily confuse. There was a raffle and with donations on the day all involved raised £443!! Thank you to all involved in supporting us at this event 💛 🩵 ❤️ .

It provides a great opportunity to help raise funds for 'ADS' Charity - Alzheimers Dementia Support. This is a fun, atmospheric event. When registering, don't forget to indicate that you are raising funds for 'Alzheimers Dementia Support' ('ADS' Charity). This is a festive way to raise much needed funds for our important cause: supporting local People affected by Dementia.
The Marlow Santa Fun Run takes place on Saturday December 6th at 09:20 am. Be quick to book as spaces fill up very quickly!

Yesterday our Out & Abouters visited The Museum of English Rural Life for a fun reminiscence session about food glorious food! Our tummies rumbled as we recalled boiled eggs with soldiers, rice pudding with strawberry jam and sticky toffee pudding with custard. We explored the museum spotting exhibits related to food, before being given the challenge to identify five artefacts related to food. Well done Ossie for identifying the Cheese Tasting implement! With our appetites worked up, we then tucked into a hearty meal at The Wee Waif, including Sticky Toffee Pudding and custard! Thank you to Philippa at the MERL. We had a great time! Thank you to our volunteers who supported this day out.

At our monthly Moves & Groves services we dance like nobody is watching! Dancing is a powerful intervention for Dementia. It helps tap into cognitive function, memory, coordination, balance, attention, social connection and language abilities can be strengthened, you are physically active and importantly it improves quality of life.
