A Message from the President to the Members of Macmerry Miners Welfare & Community Hub.


This is a warm invitation to join us for the Macmerry Miners Welfare & Community Hub Annual General Meeting on Sunday 30th August at 11am and show your support for the Hub, as your presence genuinely helps shape the strength and direction of what we do together.

During the AGM, we’ll be reflecting on the past year, sharing the progress we’ve made, the challenges we’ve worked through, and the positive moments that have helped our community grow, alongside looking ahead to the plans, events, and priorities we want to focus on in the year to come.

Most importantly, we’d really value your input, whether that’s thoughts on what you’d like to see more of, ideas on where we can improve, or ways you might want to get involved, from sharing suggestions to volunteering or simply helping guide the future of the Hub so it continues to reflect the needs and spirit of its members and the large Community.

I hope you can make it and be part of the conversation as we shape the next chapter of our community Hub together.

Cruden Homes Supporting The Macmerry Community Hub

Over recent months, Macmerry Miners Welfare & Community Hub has been working closely with the Cruden Homes team to explore opportunities to support the Hub's sustainability ambitions and ongoing improvement programme.

Thanks to the generous donation of materials and skilled labour from Cruden Homes, a number of enhancements are now being made to the Hub's outdoor spaces (revamping of an area of the garden including the er****on of a new fence) helping to create a more sustainable and welcoming environment for members and the wider community.

Stuart Fleming, President of Macmerry Miners Welfare & Community Hub, said:
"Macmerry Miners Welfare & Community Hub has been at the heart of our community for generations, providing a place where people can come together, connect and take part in a wide range of activities. The generous support we have received from Cruden Homes, through both materials and skilled labour, will have a lasting impact on our outdoor facilities and help us continue improving the experience we offer to members, visitors and local residents. On behalf of everyone at the Hub, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Cruden Homes team at Longniddry Village for their generosity, support and investment into our community."

Our Macmerry Miners Club Community Café is looking for some lovely volunteers to come along and help us on Fridays, 11am–1pm. 🥰

The café is all about home baking, friendly faces and bringing our community together. ❤️

Whether you can help every week or just now and again, we’d really appreciate your time and support. Every volunteer makes a difference! 🙌
