To all the mothers and mother figures — today, we honour you.

To the birth mums, adoptive mums, foster carers, step mums, mums-to-be, mums who have lost, those with strained relationships, and those who have chosen not to be mums — today is for you.
To those who are still hoping, waiting, or grieving the journey to motherhood — you are deeply seen and held in our hearts.

This beautiful image says it best: love for all mothers, in all their forms.

While I’m not a mum myself, I’m incredibly lucky to be a kinship carer to my amazing niece. This morning, she gifted my mum and me the sweetest handmade toiletries — a thoughtful little moment that reminded me just how lucky I am to help raise such a remarkable young woman.

Happy Mother’s Day to all those who love, nurture, and show up in the way only a mother can — however that looks for you.
