We're really proud to support the local good causes in our community, including Little DuckLyngs Stay and Play at Lyng Village Hall, Norfolk. Little DuckLyngs is a really friendly playgroup for anyone with little ones aged 0-4 yrs old, and you can just drop in for a cuppa and a chat whilst the little ones have a play. If you know anyone with little people to occupy then do let them know that this lovely group is starting again this week😃

We are so excited to announce that Little DuckLyngs Stay and Play will be back at Lyng Village Hall, Norfolk from next Tuesday, 5th May 😃. There's no need to book, and you can just drop in for as much or as little as you like. Everyone's welcome, and there's no need to book - just £2.50 per family per session (cash on the day, or you can pay online via our happity page using the link below). Please spread the word to anyone with little ones - we can't wait to welcome you all on Tuesday!

It's the end of an era here in Lyng today, as Gavin and Vikki step away as Landlords of our lovely local The Fox At Lyng to focus on their other pub - Tuddenham Lodge 'Griddle & Grill' - nearby. We'll look forward to meeting the Fox's new Landlords in due course, but for now we just wanted to say a big Lyng Fling ✨THANK YOU ✨ to Vikki and Gavin for their kind and generous support over the years. From providing the contents of our Barrows of Bottles, donating vouchers to the raffle to hosting super After Fling parties 🍻🎶 for those not ready to go home at the end of the afternoon, we're really grateful for all you've done to help support our fundraising and promote the Lyng Fling over the years. We hope you'll enjoy having a bit more time to yourselves and we'll miss you ❤️🦊

We are so grateful to everyone who supported the Lyng Fling 2025 Community Fundraiser. Thanks to you we have been able to donate almost 🌟 £2,000 🌟 to the good causes in our community - Lyng Allotment Association, Lyng Playground, Hill and Vale magazine, St Margaret's Church, Lyng Village Hall, Norfolk and Friends of Lyng School - FOLS.

Special thanks must of course go to our main event sponsor, Dempsey Heating LTD, who have supported the Lyng Fling from the very beginning and whose generous sponsorship means that almost all of the money raised can be donated to our community, and also to our awesome Lyng-based businesses Lyng Stores & Tea Room for sponsoring our raffle tickets, Orchard House Creations for our brilliant banners and signs, and The Fox At Lyng for donating the incredibly generous contents of our Barrow of Bottles. MKM Building Supplies donated the barrow to put them in, and Breckland Council helped us to dispose of all the rubbish from the event. Today's the day! We absolutely cannot wait to welcome everyone to the LYNG FLING Community Fundraiser😁. We're looking forward to sharing all the fun stalls and activities with everyone, whilst we hopefully raise as much money as we can for our amazing local good causes - Friends of Lyng School - FOLS, Lyng Village Hall, Norfolk, Lyng Playground, ⛪St Margaret's Church, 🥕Lyng Allotment Association and our local free magazine, 📰Hill & Vale.
🚜 Tractors for the Tractor Run will be assembling at Lyng Playing Field from about 9am for 9.30am departure, returning approx 11.30am to park up for the afternoon.
🤩 LYNG FLING Community Fundraiser from 12-4pm at Lyng Playing Field, Richmond Place, NR9 5RR (please note disabled parking only at the field, all other vehicles please follow signs and marshal's directions to main event parking on Cadders Hill)
🐶 Fun Dog Show from 1-3pm
🥳 Continue the fun at the 'After Fling' from 4.30-6.30pm at The Fox At Lyng

If you're coming from further afield, please note that Lyng Road is ⛔CLOSED❌ as you leave the A47 at Tuddenham, and the signed diversion uses tiny back-roads. We therefore recommend travelling through to the A1067 Fakenham Road and accessing Lyng from there.

Don't forget our Tractor Run sets off from Lyng Playing Field at 9.30am (tractors assembling from approx 9am) and then returns at approx 11.30am 🚜😁

We are so excited to be able to share the details of this year's Lyng Fling 🚜 Tractor Run! The Tractors will be assembling at Lyng Playing Field from about 9am, departing at 9.30am and then returning at around 11.30am when they will park up for the afternoon. Lyng Stores & Tea Room will be open from 8.30am if you fancy a cuppa and a snack after you've seen them off ☕🥪🍰😍.

The tractors will be following a route close to home, but if you're coming to the Lyng Fling from further afield please note that Lyng Road is ⛔CLOSED❌ as you leave the A47 at Tuddenham, and the signed diversion uses tiny back-roads. We therefore recommend travelling through to the A1067 Fakenham Road and accessing Lyng from there.
