We start new joiners to Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts at the beginning of each main term, January, May, September....... but only if there are spaces. Don't leave it until just before you want to join. Get onto the joining list early. Search for us online and Register.

We're often asked about taster sessions. It's all a "taster". Put your child's name on the joining list as soon as you are interested (don't wait until joining age). Try it week 1, if you come back on week 2 we'll start thinking about subs, come back on week 3 and we'll start thinking about investing them into scouting. If your child doesn't settle or isn't interested that's OK. Get them on the joining list early.

Welcome to all the new families this term. Perhaps you would like to help us, in the background. You don't need to know anything about scouting, but we're looking for people who are interested in getting the best for the young people in the group by quizzing me about how we do things. Mums, dads, grandparents, relations, friends of families, or anyone from the community might have an interest in helping the group. Drop me a message if you want to know more.

There wasn't enough interest for a Second Squirrels Drey just yet, so we'll wait. There was potentially enough interest for a Beaver Colony, so we're seeing if we can build a second Beaver Colony Team.

We're running taster sessions to see if there's enough interest to start a second Squirrels Drey and restart our second Beaver Colony. Watch this space.
