Ludlow YAC are really excited to announce the club's first session, An Archaeologist's Adventure on the 21st June.

The session will be at Ludlow Library and run from 10.30 to 12.30. It will involve the following:

The Lure of the Past – What IS Archaeology?
Discuss what archaeology is while looking at some objects to see what we can find out from them.

Local Legends – Our Own Archaeological Discoveries!
Please bring in your own finds and discoveries! You can tell us about them, then we'll plot them on a map and catalogue them.

The Grand Plan – Preparing for a Dig!
Learn some of the things you would have to consider when planning a dig.

Mission Briefing – Planning Our Own Dig!
Split into groups and plan your dig, we'll have lots of resources to help you, including more maps than you can shake a stick at!! There'll also be a game to play where you get to run a dig investigating a Roman site. You'll compete to run the best dig!

The Discovery Showcase – Presenting Our Plans!
Each group talks through their dig plan and we find out who had the most successful dig.

Hopefully we can fit it all in the two hours.
