This weekend saw cadets from across West Mercian Wing ATC competing in the Inter Squadron Athletics.
Our team gave it their all, trying their very best in all events with Cadet Saunders coming second in the under 16 boys high jump and being awarded a silver medal 🥈, only narrowly missing out on the gold.
A really enjoyable day, finished off with a trip to McDonalds and a new Squadron motto!

Great results from the Shropshire County Cadet Clay Shooting today at a very warm Buller Gun Club. Corporal Stewardson and Cadet Farmer from 333 represented Sector 5 alongside Sergeant Wood and Cadet Sanger from 151 (Leominster) Squadron.

All cadets shot incredibly well and came away with the following silverware -
RAFAC High Gun - Sanger third place, Stewardson second place.
Inter Service DTL winner - Wood
Best Young Gun/Under 14 - Sanger
Inter Service Flush winner - RAFAC 'A' Team - Stewardson, Wood, Sanger & Pring (156 Kidderminster Sqn)
Inter Service High Gun - Wood

Massive congratulations to them all!

Please note that cadets are taught weapon handling skills as part of a structured programme of supervised training that emphasises safe and responsible use.

A beautiful sunny day at 8 Air Experience Flight. RAF Cosford for Cadets Goode, Saunders and Smith today. Second time for Goode and Saunders and a long awaited first flight for Smith. Safe to say, a great time was had by all! Many thanks to all the staff at 8 AEF, particularly Flt Lt Smith, Cadet Warrant Officer McCaig and Flight Sergeant Adnitt.

We also enrolled six cadets to the Squadron. Cadets Diamond, Evans-Skinner, Goode, Jones, Smith and Saunders all joined us over the past year and have now been formally enrolled by our Chaplain, Revd John S Beesley. The cadets are working hard on their classification training and are getting stuck into the activities on offer both at the Squadron and further afield. We look forward to seeing them progress through their cadet careers.

We also welcomed our new secretary Amie to the committee alongside Ian as Chair and Rob as Treasurer.
