🎉🎉 On the Wednesday 3rd June North West Computer Museum will be celebrating the 3rd anniversary of our grand opening! 🎉🎉

We are feeling very generous, so anyone visiting us on Wednesday 3rd June will get free entry! There may even be a slice of cake included (until we run out that is!). The museum, cafe and iCafe will be open 10am-8pm so there is plenty of time to get down and make the most of it.

The travellers left Oaklands park on Saturday (after their 48 hours eviction notice was served) and left a bit of a mess behind including split bags of kitchen waste on the fenced off childrens playground, and chemical toilet waste on the grass. Not a great half term for the children who wanted to use the park 🙁The Council removed the bulk of the mess today (Tuesday) and the Love Lowton litter pickers will pick the smaller pieces of litter on Thursday. The picture is of the gate lock after the travellers used their angle grinder. The gate has now been relocked via other means for now but access remains an issue. The council are having a rethink about its security. Thanks to residents and all local councillors who reported it.

Travellers back on Oaklands Park. About 11 vans. They broke the lock with an angle grinder. Again. Edit: arrived 1pm Thursday, left after eviction notice, 1pm Saturday.

East Leigh AFC supported the fun day by playing matches on Oaklands park, close to the Social Club, so residents and footballers were a few minutes walk between the venues. The club lease Hesketh Meadow Field from the council and the club maintain it and play regular matches here. Some of our local blood bikers came to the Funday. It was really interesting to find out how they help the community. They also provided some good photo opportunities!
