BURGLARY ALERT
Sadly, Lound Village Hall has been targeted in the recent round of burglaries in the village. The church was broken into, possibly on Monday afternoon and a Hoover was taken, and also the key for the Village Hall. The thieves then let themselves into the hall, attempted (but failed) to remove the ceiling mounted projector in the downstairs room, but did manage to make off with the monitor from the recently refurbished upstairs meeting room. This is an essential piece of equipment for both Parish Council and Village Hall committees as well as the Computer Club and other hall users.
These thefts are particularly upsetting for both establishments, in a small village where a dedicated few work so hard to keep these facilities afloat for the benefit of the community.
Lound folk, please be aware that these burglaries are continuing in our Village and be sure to lock your sheds, garages etc.
