76 friends visited The Kitchen in Lincoln today, and all enjoyed the traditional chicken dinner of roast chicken served with roast potatoes, mixed vegetables and chicken gravy. Sponge and hot custard followed, and every visitor was grateful for a cold drink and a cuppa.
Lots of clothing donations today - and many requests for toiletries, and plenty of fresh socks were requested too!
Thanks to Moy Park / Pilgrim Foods, Branston Ltd and Noble Foods for your continued support and donations - your generosity helps to lighten the load as we sadly continue to see visitor numbers rise 🫶

A very busy and hot street kitchen in Grimsby this teatime. Lots of hot and cold drinks given out. Tonight's meal went down a treat which was homemade burgers in a bun with homemade coleslaw, salad etc. Many emergency food parcels referrals delivered, from safe houses to families with kids.

Nicky Haxby
Just been shopping for East Coast Homeless ECHO for essentials, made possible by your wonderful generosity when I’m busking and playing gigs. All delivered to our very own awesome Richard Speed. A thousand thanks to you all. Big thanks also to Jo Perkins and Claire Harness Claire Taylor for joggers, hats, pants, socks, tops- all much needed!
Feeling blessed.

Much busier Wednesday street kitchen in Grimsby, lots of cold drinks and cold food given out. Todays hot meal was homemade spaghetti Bolognese served with chunky chips and garlic bread, this was served with a choice of hot drinks. Still a call for sleeping bags plus clean socks as many suffer sore feet in the hot weather.

Intense heat is easily as challenging as intense cold!
With the temperature gauge on the van getting to 32 we made sure everyone was kept safely hydrated with bottles and cups of water and juicešŸ’§
70 lunches were served today - we had a mix of chicken casserole and jacket potato or breaded chicken and chips, followed by sponge pudding and custard. Kudos to the kitchen team today as it was unbearably hot 🄵 šŸ”„
We are desperately in need of sleeping bags and mens and women’s casual clothing and footwear - if you’re from the Lincoln area please message Jeannine Thornley if you have anything to donate.
Thank you to all those who continue to support this lifechangingwork - sometimes the need is overwhelming, but together we are making such a difference 🫶

Today in Lincoln we showed our respect after the sad passing of Jonathan (Jonny) Hewitt. Thank you to the family for allowing us to honour Jonathan’s life and provide a safe space for friends to come together to remember a much loved young man šŸ’”
We welcomed 69 friends today who really enjoyed the cheese and ham pasta bake followed by pudding lady Joan’s signature sponge puds and custard šŸ’›
We welcomed alot of new faces that were signposted to other support organisations, including Project Compass, the Salvation Army, Let the Eat Cake and the Nite Bite Cafe - working together is so important 🫶
Sending love to Jonathan’s family. There is a new star in the sky shining brightly down on all who knew you - rest easy now young man x
