The weather has certainly become alot colder in the evenings - and whilst it’s still joyously sunny - winter is just round the corner!
The Kitchen in Lincoln served 63 tasty lunches of southern fried chicken and homemade chips followed by sponge pudding and hot custard.
Hot and cold drinks were in demand - and we had a new donation of men’s clothing - as we had almost run out!
Tshirts, joggers, hoodies, coats, socks, gloves, trainers/boots etc are always needed, particularly men’s sizes S, M and L 🙏
Thank you to all our friends and supporter’s who donate, volunteer and help us to deliver this lifeline each and every week 💜

A much much busier kitchen in Grimsby and the nights are getting much darker and colder. Tonights meal went down a treat which was Shepard pie served with fresh vegetables. More of a call for warm clothes and sleeping bags. Thank you to Pizza Paradise Louth, Woolliss & Son LTD, Green Futures, Greggs, Pocklingtons Bakery, Lincolnshire Co-op for all the donations which make these street kitchens happen.

Busier street kitchen in Grimsby today and more requests for sleeping bags and warm items as the night's are getting colder. Today meal was loved by all and many came back for second's. The meal was One pot creamy tomato beef pasta which was served with a choice of hot drinks.

How lucky are we with the weather at the moment ☀️
We welcomed 65 friends to The Kitchen in Lincoln today, who all enjoyed chicken and cauliflower served in a cheese sauce, with either mashed or jacket potato - followed by sponge pudding and custard.
We had a fab food donation from Stokes / Charlotte House Hotel - and bread + cheese and continued thanks to Branston Ltd Noble Foods and Moy Park 🍗 Your support empowers us to continue what we do 💜
Mens clothing, socks, and layers are in real demand - and we were proud to be able to support a young man who had nothing other than the clothes he was wearing.
Finally, a volunteer delivered a meal to a friend who wasn’t able to come to the kitchen today. He was with a friend who made a donation to The Kitchen - thank your ‘S’ - your friendship and kindness means so very much ❤️

The Kitchen in Lincoln welcomed 66 friends today, who all enjoyed a 2 course meal of southern fried chicken and homemade chips, followed by hot sponge pudding and custard.
As they made their way out a number of visitors remarked on how tasty the meal was today - they said the chips are so yummy because they are homemade and home fried - and you can tell! And one chap said the chicken was so delicious as it was ‘proper chicken’ and not the reconstituted crap 💛
Hot drinks - particularly hot chocolate - were popular, and toiletries were also much requested.
Our volunteers absolutely ROCK 🤘 and we are only able to continue to deliver this support thanks to the team we have, and the support of amazing organisations Branston Ltd Noble Foods Moy Park/Pilgrim Foods GoGro CIC Social
The message pinned to a hand knitted donated scarf (pictured) gave one chap a real boost - the smile on his face was amazing xx

The nights are starting to feel colder and the request of sleeping bags are going up. All was ready for a traditional meal which was shepherds pie or steak pie served with carrots, cabbage, broccoli and gravy. You can also see people are starting to come down with illness with winter arriving. So it's more important to get people wrapped up in warm clothes, coats etc. plus many hot chocolates served. Thank you to Woolliss & Son LTD, Pizza Paradise Louth, Pocklingtons Bakery, Lincolnshire Co-op ,Greggs, Green Futures which make these kitchens happen.

Hi guys! Just met up with my awesome mate Richard Speed at ECHO East Coast Homeless to deliver £279.23 worth of All Weather sleeping bags and essential supplies, all paid for from my busking and gigs. Plus my heartfelt thanks to TROPIC Skincare with Claire Harness, Jo Perkins and Jossi Aldridge for all the much needed warm clothes.

Slight increase today at the street kitchen in Grimsby. Many ready for a choice of hot drinks plus bottled water given out for hydration. Today meal was loved by all and many nice comments. The meal was homemade chilli con carne served with homemade Spanish rice. This was followed by donated strawberry and white chocolate muffins.

Another fabulous Kitchen in Lincoln today 💜
We welcomed 70 friends who tucked into a tasty Spanish Chicken Casserole served with homemade potato crisps, followed by homemade sponge pudding and custard.
Hot drinks were in demand, and whilst it was a bright day, the warmer clothing was well received as temperatures are dropping in the evening.
Massive thank you to Ann-marie Hamson from Tesco Wragby Road who volunteered with us today, and turned up with a fabulous donation of water, cans of pop, toilet rolls, and some essential tinned ‘larder’ goods 💜
If anyone is having a clothing clear out - we would really value men’s casual clothing like joggers, jeans, T-shirts, hoodies, coats etc - just message the page, or Jeannine Thornley directly 💚
