Worried about expensive energy bills this winter? 💡

We’re working in partnership with Local Energy Advice Partnership - LEAP in Charnwood and Melton to provide free energy advice and energy-saving measures to help keep your home warm and your bills down.

We can also check whether you’re eligible for support such as a new boiler, more energy-efficient appliances or government funding.

There’s no shame in asking for a little help with rising energy costs.

👉 Contact us and we can refer you, or self-refer directly here: https://applyforleap.org.uk/

‼️ Students, the new Renters Rights Act may affect this years accommodation ‼️

🗓️ From May 1st 2026, the government changed rules for renters to make renting more secure, fairer and easier to understand.
However, this also impacts students

The new law now means:

- Landlords can no longer evict tenants without a clear legal reason
- All private tenancies become ‘rolling tenancies with no fixed end date.
(You can leave the the property by giving 2 months notice)
- Landlords can only increase the rent once per year, which tenants can challenge if they believe it to be unfair
- Landlords cannot ask for more than 1 months rent upfront

Know your rights as a first time renter.
Swipe for how this may affect you as a student ➡️
