Due to the current cold weather the Council’s Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated.

This means the Council may be able to arrange emergency accommodation for anyone sleeping rough in Charnwood.

If you know of anyone sleeping rough in the borough, please ask them to contact the Housing Options service on 01509 634666 (during opening hours) or 0333 200 8811 (outside of opening hours). Alternatively, visit the council offices on Southfield Road, Loughborough (during opening hours).

Anyone worried about someone who may be sleeping rough can make a referral to www.streetlink.org.uk.

StreetLink is a national organisation which notifies local authorities and outreach services once a report has been made about rough sleepers.
