Update from U&C on their previous post:

**Please use this email for enquiries: [email protected]

The road closures will be approximately 9am-4pm, but if we can open earlier in the afternoon we will, and if weather delays the work the closures may need to be extended. There will be site operatives on site during any road closures so if there are any issues residents should speak to them. Overnight and at weekends roads will be open, but there may be traffic management left in place.**

Roadworks Update: Stirling Road Surfacing Works
The next phase of surfacing works in Northstowe Phase 1 will commence on 27 October on Stirling Road.

These works will require a series of road closures. During certain periods, there will be no through access between Northstowe Phase 1 (the main residential area) and Northstowe Phase 2 (where the Education Hub is located).

To minimise disruption, the works will begin during the half-term holiday. However, road closures will also be required on the section of Stirling Road between Eagle Way and the Education Hub during the week commencing 2 November. Contractors will aim to schedule these closures outside peak school-run times wherever possible, although this cannot be guaranteed. Residents and visitors are therefore advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time for travel.

Road closures will be in place during working hours only. Some traffic management measures, including temporary signage and traffic control, will remain in place outside these hours.

Once works progress further along Stirling Road, local traffic will be able to use diversion routes within the Phase 1 area.

Please note that all dates and timings are subject to change and may be affected by weather conditions. We ask all road users to follow the traffic management signage while travelling through Northstowe during this period.

Residents whose property access is directly affected by the works will receive separate communications containing more detailed information.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while these essential works are completed.
