🌞 Hot weather can affect anyone's health, especially older people, young children, and those with long-term health conditions.
As temperatures rise, remember to:
💧 Drink plenty of fluids
🏠 Keep your home as cool as possible
🧢 Wear loose-fitting clothing and a hat when outdoors
☀️ Avoid the sun during the hottest part of the day (11am to 3pm)
👥 Check in on family, friends, and neighbours who may need extra support
🐾 Don't forget your pets. Make sure they have plenty of fresh water, access to shade, and never leave them in a parked vehicle, even for a short time.
It's important to know the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke and what to do if they occur.
