The founder of the Defend UK Campaign for Free Speech Tweeted that the environment on X is now so toxic that it's almost child abuse to allow a young person to go anywhere near it. The following response was posted on Threads: Spot on. We should NEVER allow this to be normalised.
If we lie to our parents we get in trouble, if we lie to our teachers we get a detention, if we lie to our boss we get fired, if we lie to the police or in court we go to jail, if we lie to our partner we get divorced. Why is it acceptable to lie in public as a broadcaster and also anonymously on social media? (Teddy Pallich)

Fake and Truth are now being used as weapons against the people and Free Speech has been kidnapped and presented as their spokesman. But by linking fairness to the concept of free speech, you give extra protection and a constant reminder that no-one, let a lone a single media outlet, has the right to claim Free Speech entirely for themselves.
