Gemmology Rocks Charity Pub Quiz Night is Back!

Once again, the fantastic team at Gemmology Rocks are hosting their much-loved Charity Pub Quiz at The Argyll, Hatton Garden, on Thursday 6 August, from 7.00pm to 10.00pm.

Quiz Master extraordinaire Mr Crozier returns to take charge of what promises to be another unforgettable evening. If you've never been before, expect a quiz like no other! There'll be dramatic prose, gem and jewellery rounds, a sing-along music round, plenty of laughs and a few surprises along the way.
There are some great prizes up for grabs, including the opportunity to hold the Presman Mastermelt Silver Quiz Cup for the year, plus an award for the team with the best name, so get those creative thinking caps on!

Best of all, every penny raised will go to the Silversmiths & Jewellers Charity, helping to support members of our trade who have fallen on difficult times. Thanks to the generous support of the Goldsmiths' Foundation, eligible ticket proceeds will also be match funded, meaning your support will go even further.

Teams can consist of 4–6 people, but don't worry if you don't have a full team. Simply book the number of places you need, and you'll be welcomed into the 'Mixed Melee' Team – a brilliant way to meet new people while enjoying a fantastic evening.

It was another wonderful evening at the Goldsmiths’ Centre yesterday as we celebrated the achievements of this year’s Foundation Programme students. We are continually amazed by the incredible level of talent on display.

We were delighted to once again present the Silversmiths & Jewellers Charity Ian Morton Award. This year’s award was presented to Thomas Pearse in recognition of his exceptional creativity, originality, and willingness to push boundaries.

Our thanks go to The Society of British Jewellers and The Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office for their support of the award.

Congratulations to Thomas and to all of the Foundation Programme students. We wish you every success as you take the next step in your professional journey.

When we hold events, we rely on the support of many individuals and companies to help make them a success, and every one of them is important to us.
This year, we held our Annual Dinner on 1st May at the RAC Club, Pall Mall, and we were delighted to welcome Presman Mastermelt back as our Headline Sponsor. Many others also contributed, by giving their time, placing adverts in our programme, and donating some fabulous auction lots and raffle prizes. On top of this, they joined us on the night to enjoy a fantastic evening of great food, fine wines and wonderful entertainment.
One of the highlights of this year's support came from GVUK Design Limitedand Yehuda, who generously donated their latest diamond detectors, the Watson AI. Here is the day it was delivered. A huge thank you to Graham and Mark Griffin London Boutique Jeweller for your generosity and continued support. Contributions such as these help make our events possible, and we are incredibly grateful for everything our supporters do for us.

ANNUAL DINNER RAISES OVER £35,000 !!

The Silversmiths & Jewellers Charity was delighted to return to the RAC Club, Pall Mall on 1 May for our annual fundraising dinner — and what an incredible evening it was.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, supporters, companies, and guests, we are thrilled to share that together we raised over £35,000 to support members of our industry in times of need.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.

The celebrations don’t stop there… 🎉

In 2027, the Charity will celebrate its 200th Anniversary! Our bicentenary celebration will be held at Goldsmiths’ Hall on 23 April 2027, and tables are already being reserved.

After 20 weeks of training and more than 1,000km of running, Will is ready for the challenge—all in support of THE SILVERSMITHS AND JEWELLERS CHARITY

The Silversmiths & Jewellers Charity Annual Dinner returns to the magnificent RAC Club, Pall Mall, for an elegant evening of fine dining, superb wines, and outstanding entertainment — a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with industry friends in one of London’s most iconic buildings.
We are delighted to welcome The Princes of Motown as our entertainment for the evening. Created by former Drifters member and X Factor finalist Pierre Herelle, the Princes are a collective of exceptional West End performers who have worked alongside acclaimed acts including Westlife and JLS. Expect a high-energy, feel-good performance celebrating the very best of Motown.
Most importantly, by attending this special evening, you will be helping to support those in need within the silversmithing and jewellery industries.
