Maggie Nelson’s Bluets, adapted for the stage by 2017 Bursary recipient Margaret Perry, has made its debut in German at Schaubühne Berlin this year, featuring video design by 2024 Bursary recipient Virginie Taylor.

Director Katie Mitchell uses methods from film and live audio drama to create a portrait of an unhappy obsession with the colour blue in multiple voices. The show will next play in Berlin at the end of June.

We had a wonderful time last month attending the sharing of the MGCfutures funded project The Girl and The Dinosaur. 2024 Bursary recipient Emma Higham spent a week of R&D with Flock Theatre Makers at the National Theatre Studio, developing a moving and entertaining new family show that employed puppetry and music.

We can’t wait to see where this goes!
