CHOKALI LUNGUDA FLAGS OFF ANNUAL FARMERS’ SUPPORT PROGRAMME ACROSS ALL NINE LGAs OF ADAMAWA SOUTH
In a landmark demonstration of his unwavering commitment to agricultural development and grassroots empowerment, Chief Emmanuel Ishaku, popularly known as Chokali Lunguda, has officially flagged off his annual Farmers’ Support Programme across the entire Adamawa South Senatorial District, covering all nine (9) Local Government Areas.
For over a decade, Chief Emmanuel Ishaku has consistently supported farmers through the annual distribution of essential agricultural inputs, previously benefiting communities in Guyuk and Shelleng Local Government Areas. This year’s edition marks a historic expansion of the programme, extending its reach to thousands of farmers and vulnerable residents across the entire Adamawa South Senatorial District.
The programme, organized under the Chokali Charity Initiative (CCI) and led by its Founder and President, Chief Emmanuel Ishaku, who is also the PDP Flag Bearer for Adamawa South Senatorial District, featured the distribution of fertilizers, herbicides, knapsack sprayers, improved farming inputs, and cash assistance to support the 2026 farming season.
Addressing beneficiaries during the flag-off ceremony, Chief Emmanuel Ishaku urged them to make effective and judicious use of the items distributed. He emphasized that the intervention is designed to boost agricultural productivity, strengthen food security, improve household incomes, and create economic opportunities for farming communities across the senatorial district.
He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the welfare and prosperity of the people of Adamawa South, stressing that agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy and requires sustained investment and support to achieve lasting development.
The event, held at Government Secondary School (GSS), Numan, brought together traditional rulers, political leaders, religious leaders, community stakeholders, youth and women groups, and beneficiaries drawn from all nine Local Government Areas of Adamawa South Senatorial District.
The successful flag-off underscores Chief Emmanuel Ishaku’s enduring vision of inclusive development, grassroots empowerment, and sustainable agricultural transformation. It further reflects his long-standing dedication to improving livelihoods and promoting food security across Adamawa South.
