🏮 Under the Full Moon: Volunteer for the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 🥮 Bring the Community Together as the Lanterns Light Up!
The Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration on Saturday, 26th September 2026, is set to be one of our most joyful events yet, welcoming over thansands of attendees to celebrate East and Southeast Asian cultures right here in Sutton!
Mid-Autumn is a time of reunion, gratitude, and community—exactly the spirit we need in our volunteer team! These vibrant festivals are 100% powered by community spirit, and we need your enthusiasm and commitment to make the magic happen. Whether you can spare a few hours or the whole day, your contribution is invaluable.

Volunteer Roles Available (No Experience Needed!)
We welcome everyone! We'll provide a full briefing and support on the day. Roles include:
• First Aid Support: Required to hold a valid, recognized first aid certificate. Responsible for providing immediate basic first aid assistance and ensuring participant safety across all venues.
• Event Photographer: Capture the day's highlights, performances, and atmosphere (must provide own camera equipment). Photos will be used for official promotion and event documentation.
• Setup/Teardown Team: Help transform the venues (Sutton Library, St. Nicholas Centre, Oru Space) with festive lanterns and Mid-Autumn decorations before and after the event.
• Stall Assistant: Help run cultural activity stalls (e.g., calligraphy, lantern making, lantern riddles) and assist craft providers.
• Performer Liaison: Guide performers (traditional music, choirs, dance groups) and manage backstage logistics.
• Wayfinding & Information: Be a friendly face, directing attendees between the Community Celebration and the Festival Market locations.
• General Support: Assist with crowd flow, volunteer refreshments, and general support throughout the day.

• Time: Full event runs from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Volunteer shifts can be flexible).
• Locations: Sutton Central Library, St. St Nicholas Centre , and Oru Space.
