Summer weather and a line-up to live for at Saturday's Africa Day celebrations!

Join us in Gillett Square from midday as we team up with the Dalston Children's Festival for childish vibes at Dalston Children's Festival x Africa Day.

From 3pm we'll be bringing a little extra from outside the Vortex Jazz Club with Abdoulaye Samb, Afrospot and an Open Mic hosted by the Square's favourite funnyman, Ian.

Then it's over the square to Studio I'm from 8pm for Dalston Highlife: Africa Day Party feat BBQ, short films, artwork, music and general evening merriment, before the afterboogie at Club Makossa with TRC dance w/ Coco Maria, Flamingods, Palo Santo Discos & Lex

It's Africa Day on Saturday May 25th, and you know what that means... a fourth and fashionably-late edition of Africa Week Dalston!

You know the drill: a week of quirky and classy activities exploring and celebrating Dalston's connections to Africa and the Diaspora - starting on Monday with a week of Hoard at the Arcola Theatre, and ending on Sunday 26th with something special at Church Of Sound.

In between we've got a weekend of fun and games for kids and big kids alike, across Dalston favourites The Jago, Gillett Square, Vortex Jazz Club, Studio I AM and Club Makossa.
