The FBU has won unanimous backing from the TUC for its demand that all those responsible for the Grenfell Tower fire are brought to justice.

Despite next year marking a decade since 72 people lost their lives in the fire, no prosecutions have taken place.

Today I joined firefighters at Didcot fire station for a minute’s silence to remember those who lost their lives on 9/11, including 343 firefighters.

We remember their bravery and sacrifice, and stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the IAFF.

7 September 1940 marked the beginning of the Blitz.

As bombs rained down on London, firefighters battled huge fires, collapsing buildings, smoke and intense heat to save lives & protect communities.

818 firefighters lost their lives during the Second World War.

We remember the courage and sacrifice of the firefighters of the Blitz.

This was an important meeting.

Great contributions from Fire Brigades Union reps from across the UK.

This has fundamentally shaped our demands.
