On Monday, I was proud to bring our solidarity greetings and fire engine to London May Day Organising Committee.

is about remembrance, but also it is about what workers are doing now. From the Gloucestershire Phlebotomists to the Birmingham Bin Workers, workers are in active struggle, refusing to accept less.

Everything we have as workers today, have been won and fought by trade unions and working class people.

May day is about a re-dedication to what a better society needs to look like.

One hundred years on from the General Strike, we remind ourselves that our industrial strength in the workplace and our collective voice across the movement remain our greatest priorities — and the means by which we speak up for the oppressed.
