உயிர் ஓவியம் 2026

The community of TAEC UK gathered today to commemorate the Mullivaikaal Genocide Remembrance Day - May 18. We remember the thousands of innocent lives that were lost during the atrocities of 2009.

The students of TAEC UK’s Thamil schools paid tribute
through a series of meaningful activities that spread awareness and educated them of our pain and sorrow carried by the Thamil community.

An opportunity to empower our younger generation to understand their roots, identity, and the sacrifices endured by their people.

Events conducted:
• உயர் ஓவியம், Drawing Competition
• தமிழீழத்தின் உயிர்ப்பு மொழி, Recitation of Hon. V. Pirabakaran’s “Sinthanai”
•தியாகத்தின் வேரைத் தேடி, Inter-school Quiz Competition

Through these activities, students were encouraged to remember, learn, and strengthen their connection to their Thamil identity, history, and converse about our liberation struggle.
