When life feels overwhelming, step outside 🌿

Psychologist Dr Will Tadros shares a simple but powerful reminder.

Just a few minutes in nature can calm your nervous system, reduce stress and help you feel more grounded.

It does not have to be a forest.

It could be the sky above you, the moon at night πŸŒ™ or a small plant nearby πŸͺ΄

Pause. Notice. Breathe.

Save this for when you need a reset.

Manchester workshops are in full swing πŸ™Œ Funded by Inner Spark, our interactive sessions are getting great feedback from both students and staff.

We love getting teachers involved alongside students because it normalises mental health conversations and helps the impact last beyond the session.

Young people are under real pressure right now, and schools are seeing the impact every day. Mental health support cannot just be reactive β€” it needs to be practical, accessible and built into the school experience. πŸ§ πŸ“š

We are currently delivering student mental health workshops across North West England, including Manchester and surrounding areas, giving young people clear tools, language and strategies to better understand and manage their wellbeing. These workshops are funded by whose support is helping us reach more schools and students who need it most. Early support changes outcomes, and that is exactly why this work matters. πŸ’¬βœ¨

In 2016, around 40,000 children and young people were referred to CAMHS.

Today, that number is over 120,000.

That is not just a statistic. It is a system under pressure and young people waiting longer for help they urgently need.

Mental health services are overwhelmed. But crisis is not inevitable πŸ’¬

This is why the work of Mind of the Student matters.

Early intervention.
Early education.
Early signposting.
Early conversations.

When we reach young people sooner, we reduce the risk of crisis later. We build understanding, confidence and resilience before things escalate.

Together, we can help create a generation that feels supported, informed and able to ask for help πŸ’›

Because early support changes outcomes.
