I’m Charlotte Allen and I’ve lived with Parkinson’s for over 23 years.

Are you touched by someone living with maybe you’re a carer, partner, family member or close supporter.

I’m now looking specifically for family members and carers of people living with Parkinson’s who would be open to helping shape MYBOT — a new companion robot designed to support everyday life.

I’m running a single one‑hour virtual discussion group to understand what you feel a robot should do. We’ll explore:
• Key daily challenges
• Supportive features that would genuinely help
• What makes a robot feel safe, comfortable and easy to use

This isn’t research — it’s an early conversation to ensure MYBOT is shaped by real lived experience.

If you’re a carer, partner, family member or close supporter, please message me or email [email protected] for details.

Your insight could directly influence the future of companion robotics for Parkinson’s.

I’m looking to connect with people living with Parkinson’s, and their carers who would be interested in helping shape a new companion robot designed to support everyday life.

I’m working on Creating MYBOT, a home based companion robot currently in early development. Before we move into the next phase, I want to make sure we’re building something genuinely useful — based on real priorities from people with lived experience.

If you have Parkinson’s, or care for someone who does, and would be open to joining a small, informal discussion group, I’d love to hear from you.

We’ll be exploring questions like:
• What tasks or challenges would you want a robot to help with?
• What features would make a robot genuinely supportive?
• What would make it feel comfortable, safe and easy to use?

You will be asked to attend a single discussion group lasting about an hour
It will be a virtual meeting so you would need to have access to computer/phone etc to join the meeting
Date to be confirmed

This isn’t a research study — just an early conversation to ensure MYBOT is shaped by the people it’s designed for.

MYBOT is being guided by an incredible Global Advisory Board of neurologists, movement disorder specialists, robotics architects and human–robot interaction experts. Their leadership ensures MYBOT is safe, clinically informed and built on the best robotics thinking — but the most important voice is yours.

If you’re interested, please message me directly or comment below.

Your insight could help influence the future of Companion/Assistive Robotics for Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s affects more than movement—it impacts the whole body. 🧠💪 This diagram highlights both motor and non-motor symptoms, helping show the full picture of what people live with every day. Awareness leads to understanding, compassion, and better care. 💙🧩
