From 12-14 June, Rome became a meeting point for over 50 Scouts and Guides from 24 associations across 18 countries, gathering for the Overture Diversity Network annual meeting, hosted by Federazione Italiana dello Scautismo.

But this wasn’t just another international event.

It was a space to ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions, and explore how Scouting and Guiding can become more inclusive, safer, and more accessible for every young person.

Throughout the weekend, participants explored powerful topics, including:

🤝 Fighting social exclusion, corruption, and inequality through active citizenship
🌈 Creating welcoming environments that respect every person’s gender identity
🧠 Supporting neurodiverse young people with confidence and understanding
📖 Experiencing the world through the lens of dyslexia and promoting personalised approaches to learning
🌍 Building bridges for refugee and migrant inclusion
🏘️ Reaching underrepresented communities and ensuring Scouting remains accessible to all
🧰 Discovering WAGGGS tools that help challenge stereotypes and strengthen diversity and inclusion across our Movement
Together, participants shared experiences, exchanged ideas, and strengthened a common vision: a future where every young person can find belonging, opportunity, and a place to thrive.

A special thank you to our hosts, Federazione Italiana dello Scautismo, for creating a meaningful and inspiring space for dialogue and learning.

See you next year in Greece, co-hosted by Scouts of Greece and the Greek Guiding Association 🇬🇷✨
