Fabulous successful 44th Matchroom Brentwood Half Marathon . Perfect running weather - superb crowd , huge amount of charities represented . VIPs included Barry Hearn , Eddie Hearn, Steve Baker, Mayor Jay Laplain , Alex Burghart MP, DG Rotary Mark Williams , Brian Hughes - President Keith Hawkes - to name a few .

Charter night at Bentley Golf club was a thoroughly enjoyable evening . Barry Hearn OBE was our guest speaker - regaling us with tales of his life , work and charity involvement . Barry has made large donation to the Half Marathon - now renamed Matchroom -
He was awarded the Harris fellowship along with Steve Baker from labels - our long term sponsor , and Kirsty Dailly whose enormous workload year on year has helped make the event one of the most successful in U.K. sports and local Rotary events history .
