Four well deserving members of the club received the Paul Harris Fellowship award .

This award is for community service above and beyond that of every rotary members usual activities .
All have been exceptional fund raisers and community supporters . Youth services, special needs children , schools awards , half marathon , rememberance Sunday collectors to name just some of the many activities over 40 years . Congratulations to all .

On Wednesday 20th May we had a club visit to the Sculpture Studios whose factory is in Basildon. The main sculptor is Aden Hynes, who with his three sons runs a very successful business producing both small, large and immense sculptures for TV, movie sets and award ceremonies.
Following our visit there, we retired to the Dukes Head Pub for lunch - well, it would be rude not to!!

Honorary Patron and past chairman of Trustees of Saint Francis Hospice and both past presidents of Brentwood a Becket - Neville Brown & Christine Tuck joined the staff and volunteers of Saint Francis Hospice who held a two day coffee morning at the Bay Tree centre in Brentwood yesterday and today . Frankie the Lion much in evidence along with cakes and cameraderie

Fabulous successful 44th Matchroom Brentwood Half Marathon . Perfect running weather - superb crowd , huge amount of charities represented . VIPs included Barry Hearn , Eddie Hearn, Steve Baker, Mayor Jay Laplain , Alex Burghart MP, DG Rotary Mark Williams , Brian Hughes - President Keith Hawkes - to name a few .
