Ramblers - East Cheshire Group

Ramblers - East Cheshire Group Ramblers, East Cheshire walking group. We generally walk in the countryside of Cheshire, Derbyshire.

We have a full programme of weekend, mid-week daytime and mid-week summer evening walks. All are graded from easy to strenuous and approximate distances are quoted. The East Cheshire Group of the Ramblers has been in existence since 1973. As well as organizing walks led by competent leaders, some members also inspect footpaths which are public rights of way with a view to ensuring they are kept unobstructed and in good repair.

Glimpses of the sun, hail, rain, high winds and a bit of thunder! The plan was to climb Cown Edge, however the weather was so bad we decided it may not be safe and took a detour returning back to Rowarth.
