MEET YOUR PARENT GROUP LEADERS❤️

These dedicated facilitators are at the heart of our Being a Parent courses, generously delivering them on a voluntary basis due to their strong commitment to supporting and empowering parents.

We are launching two new courses tomorrow, beginning with an introductory session, and there are still places available on both. You are very welcome to join us for a coffee and biscuits to learn more about the programme and see what it has to offer.

Gemma and Judie will be delivering our Bedonwell course 09:30-11:30 and Nichola, Jola and Lucy will be delivering at East Wickham between 12:30-2:30. We hope to see you there 🙂

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

We hope you’ve been soaking up the sunshine and enjoying a well-earned break ☀️

Next week, I’ll be saying goodbye as I step away from my role at Bexley Moorings Project. It’s been a real privilege to coordinate and supervise the EPEC courses, and I want to thank you all for your support along the way. I have met so many amazing parents and carers and it’s meant so much 💙

What this means for you:
The good news is… it’s business as usual! 😊
Our service will continue exactly as before, and we’re delighted to welcome Jayne, who will be taking over, as she’s absolutely wonderful.

For all EPEC enquiries going forward, please contact:
[email protected]

All updates and announcements will now be shared via the main Bexley Moorings page.

⚠️ Please note: this page will be closing next Friday (17th April) so be sure to follow the main page to stay connected.

Thank you for your continued support 💙 Karen!

Today we say a heartfelt goodbye to Steph 💛

It’s a bittersweet moment for us all. While we’re so sad to see her go, we’re incredibly excited for her as she prepares to welcome baby number three!

Steph’s journey with us has been truly special. She first joined as a parent on our BAP (Being a Parent) course, before going on to train as a Parent Group Leader and delivering courses across the borough. Over the past three years, she has given hundreds of hours of her time volunteering, going above and beyond to support families.

Through her dedication, Steph has helped empower so many parents, building confidence, strengthening relationships, and creating lasting resilience in both parents and children. More recently, she has taken this even further by training to support and develop new Parent Group Leaders, extending her impact across the community.

Our parents consistently describe Steph as unconditionally supportive, non-judgemental, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brings compassion, patience, and encouragement to every session, offering reliable support even in the most challenging moments.

Steph, your generosity and commitment have made a truly life-changing difference to so many families. You will be deeply missed, but we wish you all the very best in this exciting new chapter 💕

This week is Children's Mental Health week and strong mental health builds strong resilience.

When children feel safe, understood, and supported, they learn how to manage big emotions, cope with challenges, bounce back from setbacks and believe in themselves.

That’s resilience and it starts in the early years.

If you’re parenting a child aged 2–11, your relationship with them is shaping their emotional wellbeing every single day. But you don’t have to do it alone.

Our Being a Parent (BAP) course helps understand behaviour through an emotional lens, support your child’s mental health and your own wellbeing, build resilience at home and grow your confidence as a parent.

Because when parents feel empowered, children become emotionally stronger. It's delivered by parents for parents and that is the superpower!
