🏆 Victory for Earl’s Court — 24/7 Gambling Rejected!
Last night was a turning point for Earl’s Court.
The RBKC Planning Committee unanimously rejected Admiral’s application to operate its Adult Gaming Centre at 153 Earl’s Court Road 24 hours a day — a clear win for residents and our local community.

There was a strong turnout from Earl’s Court, with around 20–30 residents filling the chamber to show just how much local people care about protecting their high street and residential environment.
Speakers gave powerful statements, and councillors on the panel asked excellent, probing questions — ultimately siding with residents on every count.
This decision follows the Earl’s Court Society’s formal objection, which highlighted how a 24/7 gaming venue would:
Harm residential amenity and late-night peace,
Exacerbate antisocial behaviour and noise,
Conflict with RBKC policies on protecting residential life and the evening economy,
And increase risk in an area with a PSPO, supported housing, and multiple addiction services within five minutes’ walk.
“The 24/7 operation of gambling operations creates a seedy atmosphere, draws an unsavoury clientele and causes ASB and other disturbance during the nighttime hours when residents should be entitled to a peaceful night’s rest.”

However, Admiral is expected to appeal, plus Silvertime wants Lloyd's building turned into a Bingo &Adult Gaming Facility so we must keep fighting.
