Entries close at midnight tonight.

We’re particularly keen to see nominations in:

• Skills & Supply Chain Leadership
• Carbon Removals & Utilisation

The shortlist will be announced on Wednesday, 3 September, with winners revealed at the International CCUS Awards on Tuesday, 13 October in Central London.

📢 CCSA Board nominations are now open

CCSA members are invited to put forward nominations for the 2026 Board elections.

Seven Full Member Directors are coming to the end of their terms, meaning there could be up to seven places available for new Directors.

We are particularly interested in candidates from the UK and EU with expertise in:
🔹 EU-based business
🔹Power with CCUS
🔹Greenhouse Gas Removals and Carbon Dioxide Removals
🔹Energy from Waste
🔹Supply chain
🔹CO₂ capture technology development

A seat on the CCSA Board offers the opportunity to help shape the Association’s direction and influence the future of the CCUS industry across the UK and Europe.

As a CCSA member benefit, we can put eligible representatives forward for consideration for either in-person accredited access to the Blue Zone at COP31 or a virtual pass.

👥 The Blue Zone is the UNFCCC-accredited area where formal negotiations, high-level meetings and policy discussions take place.

📅 Deadline to register your interest: 12pm, Friday 7 August 2026

The application window is limited, so members interested in attending should contact the team as soon as possible to discuss eligibility, the nomination process and the information required.

This is an incredible opportunity to help ensure the CCUS sector is represented in the discussions shaping international climate policy.

🌍 A significant step forward for cross-border CO₂ infrastructure in Europe.

CCSA member Exolum has completed the acquisition of a minority stake in the SeaSeaS (CCS) Amsterdam CO₂ terminal project, strengthening its role in the development of flexible CO₂ transport infrastructure.

Located at the Port of Amsterdam, the planned open-access terminal will receive CO₂ by ship, rail, road and pipeline, helping connect industrial emitters across the Netherlands and Germany with permanent storage beneath the North Sea.

The terminal is expected to become operational in 2030, with capacity to handle up to 3.5 million tonnes of CO₂ per year.

👏 Congratulations to Exolum and the SeaSeaS partners on this important milestone towards building the multimodal, cross-border CO₂ transport network needed to scale CCUS across Europe.

🇪🇺🇧🇪 Fluxys is a Belgium-based, globally active energy infrastructure group playing a key role in Europe’s transition to a low-carbon economy. Fluxys is developing a CO₂ network in Belgium with the aim of making it into a hub for industries across North-West Europe to transport CO₂ to storage sites in the North Sea.

At the same time, the group is advancing marine CO₂ export terminal projects and exploring cross-border infrastructure solutions to connect emitters with storage at scale.
