As the festive season surrounds us, bringing light and hope, we at EAST Charity UK are sending our warmest holiday wishes to all our supporters and friends! We also ask you to keep the students and staff of Point Hill Leased Primary & Junior High School in St. Catherine, Jamaica, in your thoughts.
The school community recently faced a blow from Hurricane Melissa, which brought flooding and structural damage. While the holidays are a time for giving, this year, our focus is on recovery and resilience.
What the School is Facing:
* Structural Damage to the water tank, windows, and doors.
* Flooding that caused the loss of essential learning supplies.
* Loss of Power, hindering clean-up and communication.
The dedicated school staff are working tirelessly to get education and routine back on track. We are stepping up to provide additional support to help them recover fully and quickly.
