Kids Care was founded by Todor Lambin and Desi Lambina in 2013 to help the deinstitutionalisation of children in Bulgaria. Our committment is to invest 100% of the donations in identifying foster care candidates, training, researching and supporting
them after the placement of the children in the foster family. Our main goals are
- to support volunteers to visit care homes and spend quality time w

ith the children;
- to promote foster care and support families through the process of becoming foster parents;
- to gain children's trust and help them through their real problems and needs.

Here's how we are able to support children in need - an example is one of our loyal supporters, Stassi, who raised £600 for her birthday, saying:

"My full name is Stanimira - it means 'to stay alive and to bring peace'. I wish I could bring peace and happiness to these children, so I'd like to support your charity, which is very close to my heart."

What do “martenitsas” have to do with Christmas? Maria Mitreva spent months making the traditional Bulgarian bracelets a second year, which she sold to help disadvantaged children. This year, she raised 26,026 BGN (plus £99, which we received later). With these funds:

🍱 we fed 84 children for Easter
🔥 we warmed 12 families
✈️ we sent two high school graduates on a trip
🍲 we fed 45 children for Christmas
🧺 we bought 3 washing machines
❄️ we delivered 1 refrigerator
💦 we restored running water to 1 family
💡 we paid for electricity for 3 families with 7 children
📚 we bought textbooks
💻 and 2 computers
